More on weddings...

Terribly sorry, I forgot to include the main event: the wedding din-dins!

Last year, I went to a wedding and the food was, to put it nicely, REPULSIVE. For some odd reason, the bride and groom often think it is only appropriate to serve "proper" food, but in all honesty, what's the point in hiring a huge great big catering service to prepare buckets of dry meat and mushy mashed potatoes and such. Why not hire a burger flipper to grill up everyone's favorite? It's cheaper, more simple, more fun, and, most of all, more tasty. Personally, I can't think of anything better than the sight of a bride tucking into a nice juicy chunk of burger meat. And it doesn't all have to be about burgers. There's a whole library of BBQ foods that can be tasty and easy-to-prepare AND also look elegant and wedding-like. But as for now, I'm stickin' with good old burgers.

#1 vote:

Although I'm not so sure that krispy Kreme, bacon burgers would be that much of a hit...

This is more like it:
Grilled Turkey Burgers with Cheddar and Smoky Aioli

Veggie Burgers with Lime Mayonnaise

Then again, I may just go market-style. This way guests choose from an array of all sorts of goodies:

Market Style

...Each guest will have a custom meal. Yay for individuality.
